The celebrant who at different time served as commissioner of Information and culture and Women Affairs said she's encouraging the students to increase the learning culture in the school.
In her words to the students, "With English language, you can do so many things. You can fit into any where. I picked English as a subject of reward because it builds confidence in students when you are able to write and speak. That's why I thought it fit to continue this on yearly basis as it commemorate my birthday celebration" She said.
Meanwhile, the former chairman, Oye local government, Hon. Tunde Ogunmilugba who graced the prize giving and award ceremony, gave out cash gifts to best students in Christian Religious Knowledge in all classes of the school to support the celebrant who he called his sister. He said students must continue to imbibe and follow the good teachings from the Bible and their leaders.
Also, the Osin Progressives Union promises to support the good gesture of the Honorable commissioner. The chairman of of union, Mr. Julius Akinola said the gesture will be supported henceforth by the Progressive union of the town to celebrate the celebrant and advance education in the community.
While encouraging students to shun all social vices, Mrs. Adesola Ogunkorode, a school principal in Oye local government implored the student to stay firm and focus on their studies. She admonished the female students not to involve themselves in sexual activities capable of destroying their future.
