The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for December 7th 2019 LG Poll, Hon. Ayodimeji Lawrence OLADELE(Shikky) has on Wednesday received the party's flag.
Party members thronged the venue of the event which was held at Mathew Street, Ijigbo junction, Ado Ekiti, as songs of victory rented the air with full confidence that all the positions in contest in all the Local Government Areas would go the way of the APC.
The bravery audacity of the APC members cannot be unconnected with the spate at which the general people of Ekiti have accepted the government under the tutelage of Dr John Kayode Fayemi, who has left no stone unturned in giving the state a face-lift, in all facets of governance.
It could be recalled that Governor Fayemi, since inception, has been paying workers' salaries as and when due and made concerted effort to abolishing outrageous tasking of the Secondary School Students and Primary School Pupils, in the state by the immediate past administration.
The State Chairman of APC, Barrister Paul Omotoso, while presenting the flag, said he was very optimistic and confident that Hon. Ayodimeji Lawrence Adeola Oladele(Shikky) would lead the party to overwhelming victory in Ido/Osi Local Government Area, come Saturday.
"As I present this party's flag to you today, I'm indeed very confident that you'll lead our party to victory, and I therefore present to you this mandate in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit", Omotoso said.
Party leaders and Stakeholders who accompanied the APC chairmanship candidate to the venue were members of Ekiti House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Babatunde Fawekun, representing Ido/Osi Constituency 1, Hon. Akin Oso, Ido/Osi Constituency 2, Hon Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Gbenga Agbeyo and other political stakeholders numerous to mention.
While speaking with pressmen, the candidate of the APC in Ido/Osi Local Government Area said he would definitely lead the party to Victory at the poll. He promised to lead an all-inclusive administration, stressing that he has known the dos and don'ts of Local Government system by virtue of his notable relationship with the people at the grassroots, since his foray into politics.
"I'm happy today because of the People's trust in my candidacy. I know my People back home and they also know me. We eat together, and we do virtually everything together. So, we're not strangers to ourselves and I promise that the relationship shall continue to grow without blemishes.", Oladele said
It's quite obvious that APC is brimming with full confidence as preparations are in top gear to delivering all the Wards to the APC in the coming election.
Hon. Fawekun, while fielding questions from Journalists, urged the People in Ido/Osi Local Government to come out in their numbers and vote for APC candidates at all levels to bring to their doorsteps, more dividends of democracy.
"I urge our people back home to queue behind the APC this coming Saturday in order to support the good efforts of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi to do more by bringing people out of the woods", Fawekun said.
Ekiti SIEC is expected to be fair to all the parties and ensure that the conduct of the incoming election isn't marred with irregularities and height of violence.
Currently, APC members are highly spirited that PDP are no game for them as they're entering the elections with unadulterated hope of victory.
